One wall display, five jobs. The fleet face it ships with — plus a guided peripheral bench, a scripted demo, on-glass diagnostics, and a touch-QA arcade, each a reboot away and each governed by one host-tested policy table. The gears
Every mode is a tool with an operator story — none exists to be a gadget. Entering one is a confirm-gated reboot from Settings; holding the glass three seconds always brings the fleet face back.
The policy table
Pinned by host tests in the firmware: only the fleet face takes updates or arms the watchdog; debug is the one non-fleet gear with the network up; every non-fleet gear wears an unmissable banner and exits by long-press.

Try the latch
A real ModeSim: entering a gear writes the NVS token (bench also writes the
legacy devmode bool, so a firmware downgrade still lands in the bench);
exit clears both; an unknown or uncarried token always boots the fleet face.
Play the demo storyline
The exact beats demo mode feeds the real fleet model: every severity tier, an alarm that holds long enough to demonstrate hold-to-ack, and a loop that resolves to all-quiet before it wraps. Shown at 6× wall speed.
